Classical-Noise-Free Sensing Based on Quantum Correlation Measurement*

چکیده
Quantum sensing, using quantum properties of sensors, can enhance resolution, precision, and sensitivity imaging, spectroscopy, detection. An intriguing question is: Can the nature (quantumness) sensors targets be exploited to enable schemes that are not possible for classical probes or targets? Here we show measurement correlations a target indeed allows sensing have no counterparts. As concrete example, in case second-order correlation could totally concealed by non-stationary noise, higher-order single out from noise background, regardless spectrum, statistics, intensity noise. Hence classical-noise-free scheme is proposed. This finding suggests quantumness still explored realize full potential sensing. New opportunities include beyond approaches, non-classical as new approach many-body physics, loophole-free tests foundation, et cetera.

On a measurement-free quantum lambda calculus with classical control
We study a measurement-free, untyped λ-calculus with quantum data and classical control. This work arises from previous proposals by Selinger and Valiron, and Van Tonder. We focus on operational and expressiveness issues, rather than (denotational) semantics. We prove subject reduction and confluence, and a standardisation theorem. Moreover, we prove the computational equivalence of the propose...
متن کاملReduction of Classical Measurement Noise via Quantum-Dense Metrology.
Quantum-dense metrology constitutes a special case of quantum metrology in which two orthogonal phase space projections of a signal are simultaneously sensed beyond the shot-noise limit. Previously, it was shown that the additional sensing channel that is provided by quantum-dense metrology contains information that can be used to identify and to discard corrupted segments from the measurement ...
متن کاملCompressed sensing with linear correlation between signal and measurement noise
Existing convex relaxation-based approaches to reconstruction in compressed sensing assume that noise in the measurements is independent of the signal of interest. We consider the case of noise being linearly correlated with the signal and introduce a simple technique for improving compressed sensing reconstruction from such measurements. The technique is based on a linear model of the correlat...
متن کاملQuantum-classical limit of quantum correlation functions.
A quantum-classical limit of the canonical equilibrium time correlation function for a quantum system is derived. The quantum-classical limit for the dynamics is obtained for quantum systems comprising a subsystem of light particles in a bath of heavy quantum particles. In this limit the time evolution of operators is determined by a quantum-classical Liouville operator, but the full equilibriu...
متن کاملQuantum correlation without classical correlations.
We show that genuine multiparty quantum correlations can exist on its own, without a supporting background of genuine multiparty classical correlations, even in macroscopic systems. Such possibilities can have important implications in the physics of quantum information and phase transitions.
